Cragwell House is a charming, & beautifully restored period stone cottage, which dates back to 1679. It is situated just 5 minutes drive from Whitby, in the peaceful and pretty North Yorkshire Moors National Park village of Aislaby. The cottage is south facing and has panoramic views over the Esk Valley from every window. Period features include beams, open fireplace in the living room, polished wooden floors & antique pine doors. The kitchen is fully equipped and has a lovely slate floor and a dining area with a pretty window seat which overlooks the garden. There is also a large utility room and a boot room and the cottage includes tall fridge/freezer, cooker with ceramic hob, microwave, full size dishwasher, washer/dryer, iron & ironing board. The cottage sleeps 4 and has a spacious double room with period iron bed and a twin room with matching beds and luxury bedding, including feather quilts and pillows.
The cottage has full central heating throughout and an initial supply of coal for the open fire is included, along with all towels, bedding and a complimentary bottle of wine. There is private parking for 2 cars. The cottage has 2 TV's, video, DVD player, alarm clock, and a selection of games, books and video's. The cottage garden, accessed at the side of the cottage, is a real sun trap and is fully enclosed. Garden furniture is also provided, including a table and 4 chairs and a 'tete a tete'! Every effort has been made to create a home from home atmosphere. The cottage is strictly No Smoking, and unfortunately we cannot accommodate children under the age of 5 years. 2 well behaved, house trained dogs are very welcome.
