This elegant and stylish Georgian Town House was sympathetically renovated in 2005 and has been up graded and refurnished each year raising standards continually.Yet retaining its many original features. Guests can expect fabulous very individual ensuite Studio Rooms and Suites with all the faciliites you would expect - sofas, integrated tv systems, trouser press, hairdryer,fluufy towels and dressing gowns,I-Pod stations, gin and tonic!. a lounge with squidgy leather sofas and a bar fully stocked just like at home - oh - and a log fire to sit in front of with a gin and tonic or tea and cakes, read a paper and chill. Plan your days - walking, strolling, cycling. Travel by train - steam train or moors bus enjoy the relaxed, laid-back way of life we enjoy everyday. Visit and enjoy-the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, Dalby Forest, Castle Howard, Whitby, Scarborough, coastal or moors paths, castles, historic monuments. Yorkshire has it all on the doorstep.
The emphasis at 17 Burgate is on relaxation and luxurious comfort. Light your candles, fill your bath with bubbles and let the cares of the day slip away. Lie back and listen to music, watch a DVD or choose from the range of tv channels on your flat screen TV. Flop out on your own sofa with an in room Ploughmans and a bottle of fine wine. Soft colours, mood lighting, modern audio/visual facilities, and broadband access all serve as a superb combination of the traditional and modern.
Five perfectly formed, very individually designed en-suite Studio rooms and Suites. They all have the same facilities - hairdryer, trouser press and hospitality tray, spacious ensuite bath room, sofa, modern oak writing table, I-Pod stations, bedside tables, selection of lamps and chandelier and aromatic candles. In addition there are fluffy towels, waffle dressing gowns, aromatic candles and luxury spa therapy toiletries. Both of our suites can be twin or double and have King size beds. The Studio rooms have seating areas for added comfort and double Antique wrought iron and brass bedsteads. Some rooms have original fire places, most have original cornices and high ceilings. They all have large modern bathrooms with top quality features and fixtures. Four of them have a bath and shower whilst one has a large shower.

If arriving late or want to chill in the evening we can arrange for a simple but substantial 'ploughmans' to be ready for you.
