Argument Cottage provides 4 star accommodation and is ideally located in North Yorkshire just two minutes from the historic town centre of Guisborough, with its XII Century Priory ruins. Argument holiday cottage is a former Miner's Cottage, and is actually named after a local family. This cottage is Guisborough's only self-catering establishment and has recently been completely refurbished with care, retaining many original features.
Argument cottage is extremely spacious, and sleeps four people. It's an ideal base for exploring not only Clevelands ancient capital Guisborough, but also the surrounding areas such as the North York Moors National Park, Captain Cook Country, Heartbeat Country, the Cleveland Way Walk, and glorious Whitby, with it's gothic abbey. Midweek breaks and weekend breaks are available to guests at Argument cottage, please ask when booking. Also, ample car parking space is available off site.
The cottage is well equipped with all modern amenities including a video, DVD Player, colour television, and radio. Linen is provided, and for your convenience there is a clothes dryer, full heating, an iron/ironing Board and a Microwave Oven. A refrigerator/freezer, telephone and washing machine are all on-site.
Guisborough itself has much to offer the visitor. The XII Century Priory ruins dominate the town and are certainly worth a visit. The main hub of activity today, however, is Westgate, a cobbled, thriving, bustling street of shops, pubs, restaurants and businesses. There is a market every Thursday and Saturday, with speciality markets, such as the French Market and Farmers Market, visiting regularly. The surrounding area offers much in the way of entertainment and leisure, with walks and cycle rides within the Guisborough Forest; there is sailing at Scaling Dam and surfing, fishing and golf at nearby Saltburn.
