It’s unique traditional cinema, with it’s well stocked bar now acts as an excellent entertainment venue with first rate performers appearing live on stage. Guests are welcome to enjoy the extensive gardens, with forks and spades being provided free of charge to the horticulturally inclined! We have a no-smoking policy throughout the house and regret we are unable to accommodate pets or children under eight years old (that’s the children not the pets!)Breakfast is served in our oak panelled dinning room in front of a roaring open fire with wonderful views across the Holme Valley. Being members of the 'Deliciously Yorkshire Breakfast' scheme, we go to a great deal of effort to use local, high quality produce, from award winning sausages (No.1 in the country!) to the delicious organic honey from the hives of our neighbouring apiarist, Mr Brown.
All rooms are en-suite and offer LCD TV's with intergrated Freeview and DVD players, Wi–Fi connection for laptops, tea and coffee making facilities, mineral water, hair dryers, crisp linen, top of the range pillows. The spacious Valley View Room can be set up as a twin, as a super king size double or as a family room with a third bed. It has a beautiful art deco desk doubling as a dressing table and easy chairs next to the fireplace to relax in. The en-suite is a stylish marble bathroom with walk in shower and roll top bath in which you can bathe and watch the sheep on the hillside opposite. The Church View Room is a large double room with a top quality king size bed, overlooking the valley and the church next door. With plenty of room to sit and lounge, it now has the benefit of a newly installed en-suite wet room which is furnished with top quality fittings to a high standard with polished granite surfaces providing minimalist style luxury. The Garden View Room overlooks the rear gardens and patio. From here you will often see the local heron trying their luck at our pond. Furnished with a sumptuously comfortable leather double bed and attention to detail being our watchwords, the room is stylishly decorated with crisp white linen and silk bedspreads complimenting the period furniture.
For that extra special occasion guests that book two rooms over the weekend can take the option of dinning in the oak panelled dinning room. Candle lit and warmed by the open fireplace your Italian dinner will begin with complimentary aperitifs. For anyone who has spent time in Italy you may recognise the style and the quality. If you have only sampled Italian food in British 'Italian' restaurants, you're in for a treat. Whilst we are not licensed you are welcome to bring your own selection of wines etc. Pre-booking is essential!
