This historic hotel dates from 1763 and was built by a Captain Childs of London who became the owner of the Alum Works at Ravenscar and we assume that it is this commercial interest combined with the breath-taking beauty of the area, which led him to build his family holiday home here. Seven exquisite fully equipped conference and banqueting rooms are available catering for 2-160 delegates. 100 acres of award-winning grounds and battlements surround the Hall and our own challenging 9-hole cliff-top golf course is on site. Choose our Panoramic Room for a unique, new dining experience overlooking probably the finest views in Yorkshire! Also on-site is our more informal Cafe Bar or for the ultimate event choose our medieval banqueting hall which is ideal for exhibitions, conferences, special events and themed dinners, seating up to 100 for private dining. It also has its own bar and facilities.

The George III room is ideal as a main meeting room for up to 160 delegates seated theatre-style. We also offer extensive sports and leisure facilities including a heated indoor swimmimg pool, sauna, gymnasium, snooker room, games room, two all weather tennis courts, putting green, croquet lawn, crown green bowls, giant chess, and a hair and beauty salon (prior booking essential) offering a range of beauty treatments including facials, massage and aromatherapy.
