Downing Cottage is a delightfully spacious self-catering accommodation, ideally situated for visiting nearby Fountains Abbey, a spectacular Yorkshire attraction. The cottage sleeps 5+ guests, and is situated in Studley Roger, a pretty little village directly adjacent to Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal Park. This historic cottage dates from the 18th century, and retains all it's traditional charm. Features include an open fireplace, exposed beams and hardwood floors, as well as a beautiful walled private garden.

Located outside Ripon, between the Yorkshire Dales and the North Yorkshire Moors, this is the perfect base from which to explore the many attractions of the region. Pop into Ripon where guests can enjoy attractions including Ripon Cathedral, or travel south into Harrogate with it's excellent shops and Betty's Tea Room among the attractions. Leeds and York are also within easy reach, with something for everyone!

Downing Cottage is attractively appointed, with spacious gardens back and front. The main living room has country cottage styling, with fireplace. The kitchen has modern amenities throughout. The master bedroom has a 4-poster double bed, and the second bedroom has 2 single beds. The third bedroom/study also has a single bed, and there's a beautiful converted attic for additional sleeping - perfect for children!

The cottage is non smoking throughout and prices are weekly rates which vary depending on the time of year. Please check when booking. Changeover days are usually on Fridays in the summer holidays. Oil central heating has been installed and the open fire has been retained for cosy evenings in the winter. Downing Cottage is also available furnished for long-term lets.
