Visit Websitefor more informationWelcome to The Old Granary, a self catering property suitable for 2. Situated on the outskirts of the historic town of Epworth, North Lincolnshire. It is a peaceful, quiet and rural retreat with views over open countryside. Recently converted from an old red brick farm building, the Granary has been sympathetically restored to offer all modern facilities whilst maintaining its original charm. It is the ideal base from which to explore the many attractions of Epworth North Lincolnshire and the surrounding areas.
There are a variety of attractions close to the Granary. Epworth is the birthplace of John Wesley, founder of Methodism and you can visit his former home, The Old Rectory, which is now a museum. Just half an hour away is Sandtoft Trolleybus Museum, Aero Venture, Potteric Carr Nature Reserve and Normanby Hall Country Park. The town has a leisure centre and indoor swimming pool for those rainy days. Also nearby golf courses, fishing lakes and horse riding facilities. We are the ideal location for walkers with gentle strolls or long distance treks right on our doorstep.
The cottage is on two levels. The upper level houses an open plan lounge with a dining and kitchen area. The lounge area has retained all its original charm with attractive exposed brickwork and vaulted beamed ceiling. A flat-screen Freeview TV, DVD player, stereo music centre and selection of books and games are provided for your entertainment. The kitchen area comprises modern units with generous cupboard and drawer space well stocked with utensils, together with a large work surface complete with toaster, microwave oven and sink/drainer. The integrated appliances include electric fan oven, ceramic hob and refrigirator with freezer compartment. The ground floor has a double bedroom and a modern shower room.
On arrival guests will find a welcome pack awaiting them and, for added comfort, bathrobes and toiletries are provided. The downstairs hallway houses a washing machine and additional useful storage area. Free WiFi connection available. We welcome well behaved pets to the 'Old Granary' for an additional charge of £5 per night.
