Mill Close Farm dates back to the early fifteenth century when it was part of the Hornby Castle Estate. Mill Close has been farmed by the Knox family since the turn of the century. A cluster of stone buildings surrounds the farmhouse, which has commanding views of the Moors & Dales. The house retains many of its original features and character and is lovingly decorated with quality furnishings and antiques. The farmhouse is surrounded by a large garden and the terrace area leads to a secluded walled garden with pond, waterfall and patio where guests can enjoy the beautiful surroundings and a wealth of garden birds. The farm also features a tranquil, three acre fishing lake where guests are welcome to enjoy the nature walk.
Mill Close Farm Luxury B&B Accommodation offers three luxurious double bedrooms, including one romantic four poster suite. All rooms have top quality six foot super king beds and are equipped with complimentary spring water, handmade chocolates, free wireless internet, books, magazines and a selection of fresh fruit and fresh milk in your own silent fridge. The sparklingly clean bathrooms provide quality bubble bath, moisturiser, shampoo, fluffy bath sheets and robes. Two of the rooms have large corner spa baths decorated with Italian wall tiles. Candle sconces provide romantic flickering light. All rooms overlook the garden to the fields beyond.
After a peaceful night's sleep start your day with our delicious 'Flavour of the Dales' breakfast, a substantial Yorkshire breakfast, cooked on the Aga using fresh, wholesome ingredients. Fresh free-range eggs with sausage and bacon produced on the farm or pancakes,fish dishes & other choices available & are followed by a selection of home-made preserves. The B&B have an two Breakfast Awards and are members of the Deliciously Yorkshire Breakfast scheme, using local Dales suppliers wherever possible. Breakfast is Silver service with Villeroy & Boch white china & crisp white linen. .
