Built on the site of a former pit-pony stable that served the ironstone mine in the village, this modern single-storey property was created to offer self catering accommodation for up to three people. The cottage has been tastefully decorated and equipped with modern appliances and comfortable furnishings to ensure self catering holidays here are relaxing and stress free.
Skinningrove is a small former fishing and mining village on the Yorkshire coast. The village is very peaceful compared to neighbouring seaside resorts of Saltburn by the Sea and Whitby, but it does boast its own beach which is popular for recreational fishing and an annual themed bonfire & fireworks display that attracts hundreds of visitors each year. The village is served by a small selection of local businesses including a fish & chip shop, and a post office.
Bishop Cottage sleeps a maximum of three guests with a king-size double bedroom that can be made up as a twin thanks to a zip & link bed system. The bathroom features a shower, sink and toilet. A compact modern kitchen has been equipped with all of the appliances necessary for a self catering holiday including a freezer and washing machine. The sitting room features a comfortable three seat sofa, armchair and has a TV & stereo system for entertainment.
Outside of Bishop Cottage there is parking for 2 cars and a communal garden with lawn and gravel areas where the one, well behaved dog that is welcome can run around etc. The property is heated by full gas central heating, the cost of which is pre-paid in the rental fee. Electricity, fresh bedding and towels are also included in the price. The nearest shop, cafe and a pub are all within 5 minutes walk.
