Before you've even set foot in this self-catering holiday home, you'll know that it's going to be everything you need, and it won't disappoint. With spacious rooms featuring quirky windows looking out to the town, and with rooms furnished to a level that's more expected in a luxury hotel, this is one holiday venue that's going to give you a memorable, enjoyable stay and have you considering a second booking before you've even left.
In a peaceful little market town, with craft centres, shops, restaurants and pubs all moments from the door, the Old Chapel Post House suits every age and taste. In the summer, enjoy a ten mile walk along the River Ure, or one of the many other walks in and around Masham. In the winter, cosy up in the lounge with a good book or DVD (they're provided!), or bring out the formal fold-out table for a dinner party. Masham hosts a twice weekly market, and is home to the Black Sheep Brewery and Visitor Centre, for your local beer needs.
The Old Post House has an upside-down layout, with the living area on the top floor and bedrooms on the bottom. Five bedrooms, sleeping ten, include three king-sized rooms with zip and link beds (to become twin rooms on request), a ground floor twin (again, zip and link), and a ground floor double bedroom. Guests will share a well-equipped bathroom with a spacious corner bath, and a shower room with a refreshing power shower, but can enjoy TV in their own rooms each night, with every room featuring a flat-screen TV and DVD facilities.
For families and groups travelling with young babies, a cot and high chair can be provided. No member of your family need be left behind - two well-behaved pets will be welcome by prior arrangement. For walks, and days out, local guides are supplied, as are DVDs and books for those relaxing days in. Off-road parking, for two cars, is available on-site, whilst further cars can be parked in the town square under an honesty box system.
