This charming property is a delightful stone-built mid-terraced cottage in the pretty market town of Pickering. Set on the edge of the North York Moors, this accommodation has been lovingly refurbished and tastefully decorated to create a charming and comfortable holiday home. Blending period features such as original beams and traditional furniture with modern convenience, this property seamlessly blends old-world charm with practicality. The town of Pickering is packed with things to do including Pickering Castle and the famous steam railway, whilst the locality provides numerous other activities and amenities.

With its traditional shops, pubs and restaurants, the historic Market Town of Pickering not only offers a full range of amenities but also serves as the official gateway to the beautiful North York Moors National Park. The local area boasts some stunning scenery and Harry Potter fans can explore some of the magnificent locations used during the filming of the ‘Philosopher's Stone' or enjoy a trip on the North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway. For those looking to see local life at its best, The Beck Isle Museum is well worth a visit and houses a unique collection of black and white photography. With rolling hills, valleys, rivers and abundant wildlife of the North York Moors, walkers and nature lovers will be spoiled for choice, whilst thecathedral city of York and the Heritage Coast are both within half an hour's drive.

We're happy to welcome one or two well-behaved dogs for a stay at Alfie's Place, and for kids we can provide a travel cot and highchair on request. We'll have a welcome basket waiting when you arrive, to help you settle in, and you'll find secure bike storage facilities on site. Though we don't have designated parking facilities, there are usually spaces available at the roadside. Shops and pubs are within a five minute walk, and you can book your stay by calling us today.
