Visit Websitefor more informationThe Old Station House B&B has recently been awarded a 4 Star Rosette from Visit Britain. This lovely Yorkshire Bed and Breakfast is set in a charming stone built house built by the Midland Railway in the late 19th Century and has a wealth of character and atmosphere. The main street of the picturesque market town of Hawes in Upper Wensleydale is just a short walk away and the famous Pennine Way long distance path passes right by the gate, making this ideal for overnight stopovers for weary walkers. In reference to the building's history, two of our bedrooms have been named after passenger trains that stopped at Hawes station whilst the third is named 'Station Master'.
The surrounding Dales offer walking and touring opportunities in all directions. Swaledale, Cotterdale, Dentdale, Garsdale, Wharfdale and Chapel-le-Dale can all be found close by and there are many impressive waterfalls, beautiful villages, caves and railways waiting to be discovered. There are a good many eating places to be found within walking distance of the Old Station House and we are only too happy to book a table for you if required.
All three en-suite bedrooms have been extensively refurbished in spring of 2009 and offer a high standard of comfort and style. Each room has a flat screen, wall mounted digital TV with DVD, tea and coffee making facilities and complementary toiletries. Twin, double and family rooms are available.
Prices are inclusive of a full English breakfast offering a varied menu of cold and freshly cooked dishes.
