About this property

The Falcon Inn is set between Whitby and Scarborough, in the beautiful countryside of the North York Moors. We are a family run Inn with a newly refurbished bar that adds a modern but still traditional feel, where our staff offer a warm welcome to all that pass through the door. The setting makes it the perfect place to get away, relax and enjoy our dining experience. We offer a range of accommodation for a romantic break in North Yorkshire or as a stop off for the weary traveller.

We have 8 delightful rooms in beautifully converted stables, surrounding a courtyard. All rooms include en-suite facilities, bed linen, bath towels and tea and a generous beverage tray. For those who appreciate the countryside, our lovely beer garden is situated at the side of the pub and overlooks the stunning coastline. You can enjoy a relaxing hour with a glass of cask ale or chilled wine and consider which meal to choose from our menu of hearty home-cooked food and tasty specialities.

More about staying here

The former coaching inn has almost 200 years of history and has been a regular port of call for travellers along the Scarborough to Whitby road. It has been a pub since at least the beginning of the last century and prior to this was a shooting lodge for the then Lord Derwent. As a 19th century coaching inn, it marked the changeover point for horses making the journey between Scarborough and Whitby. And today the Falcon Inn Scarborough still provides a resting place for travellers.
