Recently converted, this delightful self catering holiday cottage is located just a mile from the sea in the heart of Captain Cook country, on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors. It is a mile from Runswick Bay and is close to Staithes and Sandsend. Whitby, with its Abbey and harbour, is only ten minutes away. The cottage was extended a few years ago to provide a second bathroom, a third bedroom and a study. It is spacious and accommodates six people with ease. There is a patio which catches the sun and shrubs and conifers provide a good degree of privacy.
Located just a mile away from the Yorkshire coast and nine miles from the traditional seaside town of Whitby, The Old Coach House offers guests a perfect base from which to explore this picturesque region of North Yorkshire. With the Cleveland Way being just half a mile from the village of Hinderwell , there are wonderful opportunities for walking.Enjoy the tranquility of beautiful, whitewashed cottages at Runswick Bay which is one mile away . Or take a day trip to Whitby and experience the atmosphere of a quaint British seaside town.
The new bedroom downstairs is spacious and has French windows opening onto the garden. All the wooden furniture in it has been made by a local craftsman and there is also a wrought iron dining set of table and chairs so that breakfast can be enjoyed looking out at the garden. Children love the cabin bed in the yellow bedroom upstairs which also has two single beds and a travel cot if needed. The beamed double bedroom upstairs is cosy and is also furnished with craftsman made pine furniture.
Tucked behind the High Street at Hinderwell, the cottage enjoys privacy and quietness yet all the amenities of this large village are within walking distance. The village itself is less than a mile from the coast, Runswick Bay being one of the most picturesque villages on the East Coast. Walks along the cliffs on the Cleveland Way are spectacular and the North Yorkshire Moors offer endless delights for walkers.With Whitby only ten minutes away, the location of the cottage is perfect.
Some weeks in May and some in the summer holidays are still available and from October onwards including the New Year.
