At the lower end of Nidderdale you will find the historic village of Ripley and overlooking its deer parks and surrounding area is Slate Rigg Farm. With glorious views, we are just a mile from the village located on the peaceful but popular bridle way - The Nidderdale Way. You are assured of a restful nights sleep to help you relax and enjoy you stay in Yorkshire. Our B&B is the ideal base from which to explore this fantastic part of the country whether you are keen walkers, sightseers or are simply here to escape and unwind.

We are ideally situated for local attractions such as Fountains Abbey, Ripley Castle, Harewood House and local beauty spots such as Brimham Rocks, Stump Cross Caverns and Nidderdale which itself is as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Parking is no problem and for those who like to walk the Nidderdale Way your car can be left with us until you complete your journey!

We have two rooms available, The Family room, which comprises of a double bed and single bed to cater for a twin/double or family. This large spacious room is en-suite with shower facilities, with views over Lower Nidderdale. The Twin room is a cosy room with washbasin facilities and a bathroom on the same floor. This room also has magnificent views of the old parkland of Ripley. Our rooms offer tea and coffee facilities with alarm clocks, hairdryers and colour televisions. Set yourself up for the day with a traditional English breakfast with a choice of cereals and fruit juice, followed by bacon, sausage, egg and all the trimmings, finishing with toast and marmalade or jams. Any special requests catered for if requested in advance. a guest lounge come dining room with a colour television is available for your use, to relax and re-charge the batteries after a long day exploring the surrounding area.

Special to this property

We have a no smoking policy in the house and dogs are not allowed in doors (sleeping in the car is no problem). With bird life at a premium in the area, the Red Kites are our favorites followed closely by the Buzzards. Curlews and Lapwings also nest in the pastures.
