From:£40Per person including breakfast

Property Information

Built in 1924 in the Art Deco style as a Gentleman's residence and shooting lodge, Rowleth End has always been a place of hospitality. Now a well appointed and comfortable five-bedroomed guest house, it is also the current owner's home. Guests are welcomed into both. We have a drawing room, large dining room, separate bar and large south facing patio, all designed to make you feel at home. Come and relax in style and comfort, yet with plenty of informality.

Swaledale is a magical Yorkshire location, with towering mountains and sparkling waterfalls contributing to an atmosphere of tranquil beauty. We have details of several scenic walks on our website, including a Circuit of Kisdon Hill and a route to Britain’s highest pub, offering a warm welcome and roaring fire at all times. The Bar is an extremely informal room, technically part of the owner's quarters. The room also houses a large screen television set (ideal for Rugby Internationals and unmissable episodes of Dr Who), and a very comfy sofa, a mahogany bar and two equally comfortable leather bar stools with which to prop it up.

Additional Information

The house is decorated and furnished with style. We have five guest bedrooms, drawing room, large dining room, separate bar and large south facing patio, all designed to make you feel at home. Come and relax in style and comfort, yet with plenty of informality. Our five double and twin guest rooms have stunning views along and across the valley and match or exceed large hotel quality. Each has a recently renovated en-suite or private bathroom, two with spa bath facilities.

Specialities

We are child and dog friendly, while still respecting the wishes of those who come without them. Our food is sourced from local suppliers and we offer evening meals. Zac, the cat, is not allowed into the main rooms, but he does like to snooze on the sofa in the bar / television room.
