Two bedroom 19th century converted stone barn, non-smoking, pets welcome, internet access
High Trees Barn is perfectly situated for walking or touring holidays with numerous local attractions close at hand, including Anne Lister's home Shibden Hall, in Halifax. The barn sits on a south facing hillside with panoramic views over the beautiful Yorkshire Pennine moorland. It is surrounded by farmland, and visitors are welcome to use the landscaped garden and meadow. The Barn is situated on a quiet lane off the B6113 and the B6114. It lies halfway between the villages of Greetland and Barkisland. This two bedroomed property was recently converted from a 19th century barn, retaining natural stone walls and beams. Ample level off-road parking is conveniently situated by the entrance. Table and chairs, and barbecue, are available on request. There is direct access from the barn onto Calderdale's extensive footpath network. Baby-sitting facilities are usually available. Comprehensive up-to-date tourist information and local maps are available to guests to help them explore the local area. Well behaved pets are welcome but they must be kept under owner's control at all times and not left unattended. For the comfort of all our guests, smoking is not permitted within the Barn.
The Barn layout is as follows. Upstairs is an open plan room with dining area, lounge and well equipped modern kitchen. One bedroom has a double bed and the other two full size single beds. Both are well equipped with hanging and drawer storage space. The bathroom has a modern suite with washbasin, toilet and bath plus electric shower and shaver point. The barn has full gas central heating and constant hot water. It is connected to a wireless broadband network for free internet and e-mail access. A colour T.V., Video and radio are all provided, as are a washing machine, tumble drier and freezer. Duvets, bed linen and towels are all included. A cot and high chair are available on request with duvet and cot sheets, as are children's toys and games.
