Aunty Annie's Holiday Cottage has one of the best location in Staithes. Open the front door and look out on to this charming fishing villages harbour and enjoy the cliff and sea views. Formally a 17th century fisherman's cottage it nestles perfectly beneath Cowbar, part of the heritage coastline. Just a short stroll over the bridge and you are onto the cobbled streets of Staithes. The traditional cottage has been completely renovated and offers all the facilities of the modern age.

Staithes itself has been untouched by time.The cobbled streets and traditional pubs create a quaint atmosphere. There is also a bistro, café, post office, excellent butchers and an award winning restaurant. Spend an afternoon taking in some history at the Captain Cook and Staithes Museum. Whitby is close by, perfect for a day by the seaside, or why not take a ride on the steam trains from Pickering? Leaflets and details of the local attractions are in the cottage ready for you, feel free to read them but please leave them for the next visitor.

Additional Information

On the ground floor there is a lounge, dining room and kitchen. The lounge has comfortable furniture, a TV with freeview and a DVD/CD player as well as a payphone. It also has a feature wood burning stove. The first floor has a double bedroom with a feature stone wall and beamed ceiling. A seat beneath the sash window provides a view over the harbour by day and night. A travel cot is also available. The bathroom was new in July 2009. A staircase leads to an attic bedroom with two single beds.

Specialities

A car parking space, adjacent to the cottage is purely for Auntie Annie residents and there is a permit for an additional parking spot on the harbour near the life boat house, only a few yards from the cottage. This cottage is centuries old and therefore, the steps may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties. Central heating from night storage radiators also 3 extra radiators worked from wood burning stove. Electricity (included in the tariff), bed linen, duvets and pillows provided but please bring own towels.
