Built in 1750 as a farm cottage, this Grade II listed cottage has been beautifully restored and renovated, providing the ultimate in luxury and comfort. Sleeping up to six guests, it's the perfect place in which to relax and unwind and a fantastic base to explore the surroundings of Historical and Romantic York, the Moors, the Coast and the Dales.

At Yew Tree Cottage, we pride ourselves in providing the highest standards to ensure a luxurious, relaxing stay and create a home-from-home atmosphere. The cottage has a fully fitted and well equipped family sized kitchen, separate dining room and a generously sized, comfortable living room with wood stove and open fire. We'll provide enough wood to keep the wood burner going for your entire stay. The cottage is equipped with WiFi broadband access so that those of you who just can't leave work behind can check the world is still functioning whilst you're away. There are digital plasma screen TVs in the lounge and main bedroom with DVD players, iPod docks and an extensive book and DVD collection for your use on rainy days. For those with families we can arrange high chair, cot, and other amenities. Outside in the garden, there's a large table and chairs and family barbecue to enjoy the beautiful country garden when the weather is good. Upon arrival, enjoy your welcome hamper to get you started. You'll find fresh bread, butter, milk, eggs, and a complimentary bottle of wine. The local milk-man can also deliver the weekend papers to your door.

Upstairs is the sleeping area with the main bedroom a king size bed with 32" plasma TV on the wall, and sitting area by the original fireplace. The second bedroom has a comfortable double bed with views overlooking the fields, and the third room has a pull out sofa-bed. All rooms provide the ultimate in comfort for that romantic retreat complete with luxury bed linen and towels all provided. The luxuriously appointed bathroom includes a beautiful cast iron bath with a great shower and underfloor heating.

Directions
Yew Tree Cottage is easy to find. Trains are only 2 hours from London to York and we can organise transfers from the station or any airports. For driving directions, the cottage is just a few miles off the A64. Follow these directions from the South: • M1 • A1/A1M (North) • A64 - marked YORK • A64, becomes single carriageway • Continue on A64, until its a Dual Carriageway again • *Watch for signs* • A64, WHITWELL ON THE HILL • Move to right and turn right - marked WESTOW, CRAMBE & KIRKHAM • Head down the hill, over the level crossing • Over the River Derwent • Pass the Stone Trough Inn on your left • Head towards WESTOW • At T junction turn right, past the Blacksmiths Arms on your left • Yew Tree Cottage is just up from the pub
