Property Information

Myrtlegrove. An attractive scenic bed & breakfast in a tranquil & secluded location yet close to the town centre. There is a large self contained double ensuite room available which can easily be converted to a family room. The room have delightful view over Calder valley and across to Heptonstall. Set in peacefully surroundings and with a number of walks starting from the B&B all means that if your looking for a relaxing break Myrtle Grove is the perfect place to stay.

The breakfast is superb including cereal, fruit, yoghurt,and a cooked platter. Maureen the owner of Myrtle Grove B&B cooks vegetarian, cater's for vegans and any other dietary requirement on request. Organic produce used whenever possible including home grown rhubarb, raspberries, gooseberries, black & red currants and damsons, all are served with yoghurt. Supplies of cooked organic cooking apples, plums and pears also avaiable. Fresh Bread is baked using organic products using local eggs and milk when available.

Specialities

I cook vegetarian, cater for vegans and any other dietary requirement on request. I use organic produce when ever I can. I grow rhubarb, raspberries, gooseberries, black & red currants and damsons, all are served freshly cooked with yoghurt. I get supplies of organic cooking apples, plums and pears. It is a relatively undiscovered holiday destination with a superb choice of walks from a combination of secluded wooded valleys where kingfishers and deer can be seen, to wild Pennine moorland. The town is almost on the famous Pennine way long distance footpath.
