Laykin is a luxury four star self catering holiday cottage set in Low Row, near Reeth and Richmond in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. This cosy property sleeps up to seven people and sits on the hillside, enjoying commanding views up and down Swaledale. From this wonderful elevated position you can watch the River Swale meander along the valley floor and gaze out over the hay meadows which are surrounded by traditional stone walls and dotted with the famous barns of Swaledale. Laykin is the perfect base from which to explore North Yorkshire and the Yorkshire Dales, whatever the time of year. It is a wonderful retreat for walkers, cyclists or those who want to get away from it all!

Reeth lies four miles distant where there are a collection of shops, galleries, tearooms, pubs and restaurants dotted around the village green. The historic market towns of Richmond and Leyburn are each well worth a visit and a trip over Buttertubs Pass to Hawes is a must during your stay. The village of Low Row has an excellent pub and is well situated at the half way point on Wainwright's coast to coast walk. The surrounding countryside is a walker's paradise and fishing, riding and cycling can all be enjoyed nearby.
