The Lamb and FLag is a Traditional Country Inn. A free house privately owned and run by Carol and Trevor Pawson with a friendly atmosphere,homemade food, selection of wines and well-kept ales. With comfortable bed and continental breakfast in our converted barn.An ideal location for business or pleasure.We have recently been awarded an AA rosette for our restaurant.
Bishop Monkton is fortunate enough to be located in the beautiful county of North Yorkshire, surrounded by breathtaking scenery in all seasons, and close to some of the country's most interesting cities and historical sites. Although one of the joys of visiting the area is undoubtedly to discover for youself what North Yorkshire has to offer, a few you may wish to consider are the beautiful Spa town of Harrogate, historic Ripon, Fountains Abbey, the Lightwater Valley Theme Park and the romantic ruins of Jervaulx Abbey to name a few. The area is criss crossed with an abundance of footpaths and offers quiet roads and byways for cyclists.

The rooms are tastefully and comfortably decorated in keeping with the tradition of the village, the countryside and its people. All rooms are strictly non-smoking, and are all at ground level making them suitable for wheelchair access.
