The Bay Horse Inn is a stunning, centralised inn in Masham, a fine Yorkshire town renowned for having the largest market place in England. The Bay Horse is closely ran by a local couple, Ken and Sharon with a small team of staff. A market is still held in Masham twice weekly and there are a wide range of quaint shops selling everything from fine art, wine and gorgeous cheeses and pickles. Events are held in the town throughout the year including the famous Masham Steam Engine Rally, Sheep Fair and Victorian Fair. The town is also home to two of Yorkshire's best known breweries - Theakstons and Black Sheep - both of which offer daily brewery tours where you can see how these traditional ales are produced.

The Bay Horse Inn serves delicious home-cooked food throughout the week and all day Friday through to Sunday. We strive to buy the majority of our food from local sources and everything is cooked to order. We have a weekly steak night (Tuesday) and regular curry nights where you can indulge in one of two home made curries with naan, pilau rice and your choice of pickle. The pub has separate menus for the day and evening including traditional pub fayre and speciality dishes such as pheasant (seasonal) and loin of lamb. The two bars have comfortable seating and real fires, wooden floors and a cosy atmosphere along with a choice of real cask ales. We have a large enclosed outdoor area with seating for up to forty people which is a real sun trap during the summer months. The Bay Horse is a real pub - with real fires, real ales, real food and real chips!
