Email Enquiryfor more informationWelcome to Thorpe End Cottage, ideally located in the village of Masham, Wensleydale. This historic market town is the ideal base from which to explore North Yorkshire and all that it has to offer. Located on the outskirts of the village, the cottage retains much of its original character and charm, with open beams, wood floors and a stone-worked fireplace. It has been comfortably furnished to offer an extremely high standard of accommodation for up to 6 people.
Masham is considered a 'Gateway to the Dales' and has an impressive market place, one of the largest in the north of England. The village is most famous for the Theakston's and Black Sheep breweries, spend an afternoon discovering how they make their brews and don't forget to have a sample! The town is surrounded by countryside and there are numerous riverside and hill walks just waiting to be explored. The kids will love Lightwater Valley fun park and and the towns of Ripon, Harrogate and York are all close by.
The cosy lounge has a beam and board ceiling, stained wood floor and stone worked fire place with inset range and canopy. Also downstairs is a dining room and well equipped kitchen with hardwood worktops and a Belfast sink. Large French windows lead from the kitchen to a patio and small, private garden, ideal on a sunny day. There is also a small conservatory for the chillier days. Up stairs is a double bedroom at the front, a twin bedroom at the rear, a small bunk bedroom with a roof-light and a bathroom with bath, shower washbasin and toilet.
Pets welcome. There is street parking available in front of the cottage. Duvets and pillows are provided with linen and towels included in the price.
