A luxurious Yorkshire stone bed and breakfast near Malton and York, beautiful Lime Kiln House B&B in Coneysthorpe village is a 5 Star Silver Award-winner surrounded by the Howardian Hills AONB and within easy walking distance of Castle Howard. Relax on an antique rocking chair in front of an open fire and enjoy superb locally sourced food. We’re committed to using local produce and you’ll find a choice of award-winning tearooms, restaurants and inns around the B&B. Walking, cycling, riding and birdwatching are easily accessed direct from our door and our location just off the A64 affords easy quick access to York and the Yorkshire Coast.

A beautiful old farmhouse conversion, Lime Kiln House B&B is non-smoking with free WiFi throughout. Bedrooms boast glorious views across to Castle Howard and accommodation is flexible, presented to the highest standards and suitable for all from families and couples to single occupancy. Guest rooms include large king-size double beds, two stylish comfy armchairs, flatscreen TVs and DVDs. Ample storage space, hairdryers and well stocked refreshment trays with Fairtrade tea and coffee, Yorkshire biscuits, fresh milk and complimentary bottled water are all inclusive. Modern bathrooms and shower rooms feature soft fluffy towels and luxury Molton Brown toiletries.

Children are welcome and a cot, highchair and bottle warming can all be made available on request. On-site facilities cater well for the outdoor enthusiast and include ample well lit parking and secure bike storage space plus drying facilities for outdoor clothing/ equipment and walking boots. A pretty patio area with furniture and a barbecue is the perfect spot to unwind, or take a stroll around our beautiful grounds. Hearty breakfasts rich in fine locally sourced food from Whitby haddock to fresh farm eggs are fully inclusive in booking.

Directions to Lime Kiln House B&B

A64 from York :- (Scarborough road), for approx. 8 miles. Turn left at brown & white tourist sign to Castle Howard. Continue past Castle Howard to crossroads. Turn right into Coneysthorpe. Turn left at the villge green and Lime Kiln is the last house on the left at the top of the green. For a country route head for Easingwold on the A19 btwn York and Thirsk. Take road signposted Helmsley, carry on through Stillington, Farlington and over the crossroads at Sheriff Hutton, through Bulmer and at next crossroads turn left to Castle Howard .Carry on past the entrance to the castle and turn right at the crossroads at the end of the lake, signed Coneysthorpe. Turn left at the village green, Lime Kiln is the last house on the left at the top of the green. From the North:- From the A1 take the A61 to Thirsk then the A170 to Helmsley. 2 miles before Helmsley turn right onto the B1257 (signposted Malton) for 7 miles to Slingsby. Turn right (brown and white tourist sign to Castle Howard). After a couple of miles you will come to the crossroads by the Castle Howard Great Lake. Turn left signposted Coneysthorpe, and after a few hundred yards you will see the village green on your left. Lime Kiln House is the last house on the left at the top of the green, facing directly back along its' length. Parking is behind the house.
