A64 from York :- (Scarborough road), for approx. 8 miles. Turn left at brown & white tourist sign to Castle Howard. Continue past Castle Howard to crossroads. Turn right into Coneysthorpe. Turn left at the villge green and Lime Kiln is the last house on the left at the top of the green. For a country route head for Easingwold on the A19 btwn York and Thirsk. Take road signposted Helmsley, carry on through Stillington, Farlington and over the crossroads at Sheriff Hutton, through Bulmer and at next crossroads turn left to Castle Howard .Carry on past the entrance to the castle and turn right at the crossroads at the end of the lake, signed Coneysthorpe. Turn left at the village green, Lime Kiln is the last house on the left at the top of the green. From the North:- From the A1 take the A61 to Thirsk then the A170 to Helmsley. 2 miles before Helmsley turn right onto the B1257 (signposted Malton) for 7 miles to Slingsby. Turn right (brown and white tourist sign to Castle Howard). After a couple of miles you will come to the crossroads by the Castle Howard Great Lake. Turn left signposted Coneysthorpe, and after a few hundred yards you will see the village green on your left. Lime Kiln House is the last house on the left at the top of the green, facing directly back along its' length. Parking is behind the house.
