Located in the quiet village of Old Town which has its own pub, post office (for provisions), cricket club, golf club, park and equestrian centre all in easy walking distance. The views and surrounding area are unrivalled and yet the much-loved and popular market town of Hebden Bridge is just over a mile away. Piglet's house now boasts a lovely balcony, overlooking our fields with perfect views over the surrounding moorland and down the valley into Hebden Bridge. The sunsets are often remarkable - what better way to end an exciting day than to sit outside in our peaceful surroundings!
Nestling in the heart of The Pennines, Hebden Bridge is a quaint market town with a special character of its own; with lots of unique small shops, many lovely cafés, pubs, an amazing variety of restaurants and special events such as The two week Arts Festival, Vintage Car Rally, Handmade Parade, Carnival and Hebden Bridge Brass Band. Attractions include canal boat rides from Hebden's marina, art galleries, the little theatre, cinema, antique shops and spacious parks. The town is also well located for visits to larger towns and cities such as cosmopolitan Manchester, Leeds, Bradford and Liverpool for shopping, culture and entertainment or the lovely historic cities of York, Harrogate and Chester.
The accommodation comprises of a hallway, large bathroom including bath with shower over, double bedroom and a living room that is open plan with a well-equipped kitchen, dining area and lounge with awesome views through the 9 foot wide French doors. These doors open out onto a secluded balcony that overlooks open countryside and Hebden Bridge itself! The balcony has outdoor seating and a BBQ. The views from the balcony and cottage are tremendous, day and night! In Winter, the cosy real fire makes for a perfect evening in! The cottage is fully detached with its own off-road private parking area.
Piglet's House links easily onto the Pennine Way, Calderdale Way, Pennine Bridleway and the stunning Hardcastle Craggs, all of which have superb routes for walkers, mountain bikers and horse riders. Golfers will enjoy our friendly Golf Club. Nearby Hollingworth Lake offers sailing and water sports. Nostalgic visitors will love a trip to Haworth (Bronte country) on The Keighley & Worth Valley Railway as well as a walk up The Buttress to the lovely historic village of Heptonstall. We are able to accomodate up to 2 horses by special arrangement. The cottage is 40 minutes ride from The Mary Townley Loop.

Sorry, we do not take single night bookings. Our minimum stay is 3 nights though we are happy to negotiate a 2 night stay.
