There are two 4 star rated Finnish log cabins available set in a beautiful 11 acres of grounds, each of which is fitted to the highest specification and benefits from underfloor heating, a modern lounge and a West facing veranda. The accommodation is ideal for a romantic break, which can be tailored to your requirements with evening meals and breakfasts available on request.
The lodges are ideally placed for exploring the stunning North Yorkshire countryside. Set in 11 acres of grounds with various walks from the doorstep, the area is perfect for walkers. You can walk straight from your lodge and you may catch a glimpse of hares or roe deer that often visit . Maps and local guide books are available for your use, and the North York Moors National Park is close by. For cyclists, Dalby Forest is about 15 minutes away and has bike tracks and a visitor centre. If you want to explore the local area, the popular market towns of Pickering and Malton are within easy reach, and the coastal resorts of Whitby and Scarborough are just over half an hour away for a day by the sea. The historic city of York is only a half hour drive away
The two eco lodges are recently completed and have excellent modern facilities and are fitted to the highest specification. Each lodge has one double bedroom with a king sized bed, a fully tiled wetroom with a walk in shower, an open plan lounge/dining area with a large, comfy sofa, flatscreen TV, Blue Ray DVD player and log burning stove with a free supply of logs. There is also a fully fitted kitchen with a dishwasher, fridge, oven, microwave, toaster and kettle, as well as a large West facing veranda with a table and chairs for al fresco dining. The properties are heated by underfloor heating, run by a ground source heat pump and there is free Wi-Fi access available.
As well as the luxury eco lodges, the Hawthornes offers luxury bed and breakfast accommodation and has a Caravan Club certified caravan site. Evening meals are available on request . A tea tray is provided on your arrival with Yorkshire tea and freshly home made scones to make you feel right at home.
