Situated close to the village of Swinithwaite in Wensleydale and built on the site of a former 11th century preceptory of the Knights Templar Order, this pet friendly 16th century farmhouse is located within walking distance of Aysgarth which is famous for its 14th century castle Bolton and it falls. With a secluded garden and paddock area this really is a great place to relax and unwind or take your dog for some healthy exercise whilst breathing in all of what the Dale National Park has to offer.

Start your day with a delicious full breakfast and then explore this beautifully quaint region. There is adequate off road parking available, children are welcome and there is also wheelchair access making a perfect spot for all of the family to enjoy their break. Based in the Dale region of Wensleydale there are plenty of local communities to visit such as the small market town of Hawes which is located at the end of Buttercups pass which links Wensleydale with Swaydale. It is also home to the Wensleydale Creamery where the famous Wensleydale Cheese is produced. Aygarth is nearby and is most famous for it stunning falls, located on a stretch of the River Ure. Then there is Castle Bolton which is the village where you can find the 14th century fortress Bolton Castle which was built in 1399 AD provides you with a great opportunity to explore history. There are several other marketing towns and historic buildings in this region making it fascinating for historians. The location is ideal for a pet holiday as well due to the walks and open scenery for your dog to run into.
