It was built by the Duchy of Lancaster and still retains much of its original charm and character. It has been lovingly renovated to offer comfortable rooms, modern facilities and a welcoming atmosphere, Together with our popular tea room Lowther House is ideal for couples, families and friends alike. Our tranquil gardens are the perfect place to relax and unwind and are abundant with wildlife, perfect all year round.
We have just two rooms, a king size double (The Orchard Room) and a Superking (Beck) which can be configured to a twin. Orchard has an en-suite wet room and beautiful views of Pickering Woods. Beck has a private wet room facility with views of Pickering Beck and the North Yorks Moors Steam Railway. We provide generous beverage trays including spring water and a selection of teas, coffees and tasty biscuits. In addition both rooms have a hairdryer, flat screen Freeview TV and DVD, radio alarm, robes and toiletries, wi-fi access and fresh flowers. Wake up to a delicious home cooked breakfast using fresh local ingredients.
On arrival complimentary drinks and cakes are offered from our tea rooms. We source most of our flavoursome breakfast menu locally, including award winning apple juice, porridge, muesli, bacon, and sausages. We are members of the Deliciouslyorkshire breakfast club, a Vegetarian option is also available.
The Den is our tearoom/cafe where we serve mouthwatering snacks and pastries, Sunday lunches and a range of dishes from traditional English to exciting and unusual world recipes
