Book OnlineCheck price and availabilityBeautiful 18th Century Swaleside Cottage in Richmond, North Yorkshire nestles at the foot of the market town's magnificent castle, within easy walking distance of markets, inns and local shops. Oozing charm and character, the cottage has formally been a candle factory and a cobbler's and butcher's workhouse. Original features such as butcher's hooks survive. Beautifully renovated and modernised, the cottage has three large bedrooms and is perfect for families, with ample off road parking available. Ideal for touring, Richmond is a gateway into both the Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors, with Herriot Country right on our doorstep.
Our Richmond cottage accommodates seven guests and has three bedrooms including a king-size double with space for an extra children's folding bed which can be provided on request. The two other bedrooms are a double and an adult bunk bedroom and the bathroom is fully equipped with a bath, separate shower cubicle, a wc and a wash basin. Ground floor living space includes an extra wc, a fully fitted cosy kitchen with a microwave, washer/ dryer and dishwasher and a living room with a colour TV with Freeview/ Sky box, a Playstation 2 and a DVD. A CD/ radio and an iPod dock are also available alongside a selection of games and books.
Seasonal off peak short breaks are offered in the cottage - please contact us for availability information. Off road parking is on-site to the front of the property for two cars and we also offer secure bike storage. One well trained dog is welcome and we're just a 3 minute walk from the nearest pub and shop. Guests should note that the kitchen is long and thin offering limited headroom and floor space.
