We are a working hill farm,with Swaledale sheep, some Belted Galloway cattle and free range hens, situated in the picturesque Washburn Valley halfway between Harrogate and Skipton on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Perfect for walkers and outdoor leisure pursuits, the valley has many waymarked walks in beautiful countryside and in the vicinity of the farm there are three reservoirs. Harrogate, Skipton, Leeds and York are all within easy reach of the farm, and Leeds/Bradford Airport is only 10 miles from us. Our B&B is recommended by the Which? Good Bed and Breakfast Guide and is non smoking throughout for the comfort of all our guests. Dogs are also welcome at the farm if they will sleep in your car but,sorry,we dont allow them into the house.
Awake to the moorland views, the birds singing, the fresh clean Yorkshire air and start the day with a hearty Yorkshire Farmhouse Breakfast before venturing out to explore our wonderful surroundings. There's so much to see and do you will be spoilt for choice
We have three guest rooms - two double bedrooms and one twin bedded room (which can be made into a double), all of which are tastefully decorated and furnished. The double rooms have ensuite shower rooms and the twin room has an ensuite bathroom with a shower over the bath. All the rooms have central heating, flat screen tv with freeview and DVD player, tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryers, bath robes and clock radios. Guests are welcome to relax in our spacious private lounge, with Flatscreen Freeview TV and DVD player, which has a real roaring log fire on chilly winter evenings! To set you up for the day, traditional Full English breakfasts using local produce and our own eggs are served in the Dining room between 8.15 and 9am. Guests have seperate dining tables. please note - We do not have any family rooms and are unable to cater for children under the age of 10. Guests are welcome to check in between 4.30 and 6.30pm. Other times by arrangement please.
