Visit Websitefor more informationThe Old Granary is a spacious two bedroomed self-catering cottage in the North Yorkshire Moors Park. Located in the peaceful village of Gillamoor, this former granary offers a perfect base to explore the beautiful scenery of the moors. The house has a rich history with some of the old beams in the bedrooms dating back to the 1600s, and are reputed to be timbers from ships hauled over the moors from Whitby. The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen but if you don't feel like cooking, the local pub, the Royal Oak, is just moments away and offers a rustic menu of traditional home cooking. We welcome one well-behaved dog to the cottage which has a secure garden. One off road parking space is available.
As well as the breathtaking scenery of the North Yorkshire Moors, the Old Granary is just three miles away from the market town of Kirkbymoorside which has various local shops and an 18 hole golf course. The village of Gillamoor is also well known for the 'Surprise View', an enchanting view of Farndale and the river Dove. If you want to venture further afield we're within easy reach of the seaside resorts of Scarborough and Whitby, as well as the city of York.
The Old Granary has two beautiful good sized bedrooms, each with exposed beams. The first bedroom has a king-sized bed and the other with twin beds which can be converted into a super-king. The cottage also has a gorgeous large living room with a log burning stove and a window seat, as well as a TV and DVD player. The kitchen has all mod cons, including dishwasher, washer dryer, microwave and fridge freezer. The luxury bathroom has been fitted with roca suite that includes a corner bath with a power shower over, again the beams are exposed. The house is also fully double glazed and has oil fired central heating. All bed linen is supplied with an ample suply of towels.
The Old Granary is situated in a peaceful and relaxing location, inside the national Park. The village of Gillamoor is well known for its 'Surprise View' and is the starting point for many beautiful walks. The cottage is also ideal for dogs, due to the secure garden, but we do request that dogs be kept off beds and furniture. We also have secure storage and wash facilities for bycycles.
Short breaks (of a minimum 3 nights) are available from November til the end February (excluding Christmas, New Year and Bank Holidays)

A 25% deposit on booking is required with the balance payable one month before arrival. Late bookings must be paid at the time of booking.
