This family run property is located in the picturesque village of Castleton in the upper Esk Valley, right at the heart of the North York Moors. Enjoying stunning views over the valley, it is the ideal place to relax, unwind and escape the hustle and bustle. It would provide an ideal stopover to those on a walking or cycling holiday, a touring break, or those who simply want to enjoy the views. Greystones will present you with the very best in hospitality, and we aim to make your stay a memorable one.
There are miles of bridleways and cycle routes just waiting to be explored. From a leisurely walk to more challenging routes, there is something for all abilities. The local countryside and moors offer sensational views. A short drive away will take you to the coastal villages of Staithes, Runswick Bay, Robin Hoods Bay and the town of Whitby, where you can sample some traditional fish and chips. A train ride from Castleton to Whitby will take you through the villages in the Esk Valley of Danby, Lealholm, Glaisdale, Egton, and from Grosmont the Steam train runs inland to Pickering.
We have two comfortably decorated bedrooms, both can be twin or double, one with en-suite bathroom, the other with en-suite shower room. Both have hair-dryers, TV and tea and coffee making facilities. We have a separate lounge/dining room, where we serve home cooked breakfasts or you can relax and enjoy the lovely view.
We have plenty of room to store cycles securely for any guests attempting the coast to coast route which is very close to our B&B an ideal stopping point. We also offer zip and link beds (for those wanting to link 2 single beds) and foam chair beds for children.
