Sleeping up to four people, this is the perfect base to explore the North Yorkshire coast including local villages and towns such as Whitby. Its comfortable furnishing and its multi fuel stove really give that home from home feeling you're looking for.
Staithes is a picturesque, unspoilt ' olde worlde ' fishing village, much loved by artists, walkers and those wishing to get away from it all. It has a fascinating history, evocatively captured by the Captain Cook & Staithes Heritage Centre, a delightful beach and harbour with Seadrift Cafe, and also sports a Lifeboat Station and rnli shop. Further amenities include an Art Gallery, shops, Royal George and Cod & Lobster pubs which serve evening meals, and as an alternative, the popular Cleveland Corner Bistro. The Captain Cook Inn at the top of the village has live entertainment on a regular basis.
There are two bedrooms. The first floor has a double bedroom and the second floor has a twin bed room that can be converted into another double if requested. There are storage heaters in both rooms. The first floor bathroom has bath, toilet and wash-basin (also storage heater), and there is a small but fully equipped kitchenette on the ground floor. Electricity is included in the price as is bed linen; towels and fuel for the stove are provided.
There is no smoking. Well behaved pets are welcome. There is parking at the top of the village at £4.50 per day.
