The luxurious New Inn is set in the idyllic Yorkshire Dales National Park, and close to many amenities in the centre of the charming village of Clapham. Recently The New Inn has seen much careful refurbishment, with a fine blend of old and new to retain the characteristics of this historic 18th century coaching inn. Guests can expect a warm and friendly welcome, with easy access to many of the outdoor attractions in this part of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. After a long day exploring the Dales come back and enjoy an evening meal in our charismatic restaurant. We also offer a delightful menu for lunch, dinner and breakfast.
The New Inn is perfectly placed for an array of outdoor activities in the Yorkshire Dales. Take in the amazing sights of Ingleborough Cave which is festooned with stalcites & stalagmites. Or walk in the three peaks of Ingleborough, Whernside & Pen-Y-Ghent. How about enjoying a day out on the Settle/Carlisle Railway? See many castles, Abbeys and Stately homes in the area. After a day full of activities come relax in one of our two bars, soak up the character and atmosphere of The New Inn whilst enjoying one of our many superb ales. Here you will discover a collection of caving cartoons by Jim Eyre, one of the local early cave explorers. Also are many tapestries and several 'New Inn' themed cartoons by Lakes cartoonist Ken Mosley. After a relaxing drink head over to our restaurant to sample some of our finest dining. Head chef Andrew Whaley uses local produce wherever possible, including milk and cream from the cows seen in the fields of Clapham processed at the dairy down "The Green", which is delivered daily. Eggs are from Keasden and Game is purchased from local gamekeepers when available

Looking to build teamwork within your organisation? We can tailor make outdoor activities for groups whether it is an activity break or a corporate event. Your activities will be organised by Dave Gallivan, he has over 30 years experience of caving. Activities included would be caving, simple climbing, scrambling, orienteering and many more. With our specialist knowledge all activities can be tailor made to your groups’ experiences and challenges you would like to take on.
