Stow House is a large and imposing family run guesthouse in the Yorkshire Dales, offering 9 en suite bedrooms with fantastic views over open countryside. We have a cosy licensed bar, a comfortable lounge with real fire and an intimate dining room, where we offer a full English breakfast as well as interesting alternatives such as locally smoked haddock, Manx kippers and home made kedgeree. During the main season we offer a freshly cooked evening meal and we can also advise on excellent local restaurants. The Guesthouse is decorated in a country house style with antique furnishings and retains many original features.

Stow House is located in Wensleydale, the largest of the Yorkshire Dales. A former Victorian vicarage, we are just 5 minutes walk from the famous Aysgarth Falls, a series of 3 cascades extending for over half a mile along the River Ure. Our 2 acre grounds retain the original tennis and croquet lawns and our guests never cease to enthuse about the spectacular views when they relax in the garden. We are close to 2 charming and picturesque market towns as well as numerous castles, abbeys and stately homes for history enthusiasts. The area is famous for it's grouse, partridge, and pheasant and during the shooting season we welcome parties of up to 9 guns. Our large house is also ideal for house-parties, walking groups and the celebration of special occasions.
