Book OnlineCheck price and availabilitySituated in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales town of Kettlewell, Fern Cottage is a beautiful base for walking and cycling holidays and restful rural stays. It's close to beautiful natural attractions including Gordale Scar, and it's surrrounded by beautiful rivers and lakes and stunning country trails. The town was used as fictional Knapely in the 2003 film Calendar Girls, and at the heart of it Fern Cottage offers peaceful accommodation in a former Blacksmith's shop, sleeping up to three people for restful Yorkshire breaks.
Fern Cottage features one double bedroom and one single bedroom, sharing a bathroom with an over-bath shower. The cosy lounge includes a woodburning stove, and the kitchen includes all the essential appliances including a microwave, cooker, fridge, dishwasher and washing machine. We've provided a TV, a DVD player and a CD player, and have equipped the cottage with a selection of our favourite games, books and DVDs.
Fern Cottage is close to traditional Yorkshire pubs serving a wide selection of meals and drinks. Visit in August and you'll be able to enjoy the annual Scarecrow Festival, where village residents dress a variety of scarecrows as famous characters and place them around the village. It's a unique experience, perfect for guests visiting in the summer. We provide free parking on site, and include an initial supply of logs for the fire at no extra cost. For guests travelling with children, we're able to provide a highchair and cot on request. The cottage has a beautiful garden leading to a stream, and we'll be happy to accept one well-behaved pet by arrangement. Please call us today if you'd like to know more.
