The Temple Folly is a magical, fairytale, romantic, rural retreat which is perfect for those seeking accommodation in a secluded location, set amongst the stunning Yorkshire Dales in the heart of Wensleydale. An 18th century Grade II listed building which evokes originality and charm with its octagonal tower shape. The Folly is privileged to have stunning, panoramic views across to Bolton Castle, which is awe-inspiring to gaze upon. The nearest village is Aysgarth which is one and a half miles away, and here you can see the outstanding triple flight of waterfalls. The upper fall was featured in the film 'Robin Hood Prince of Thieves'.
The accommodation offers stunning views from every window, and the countryside is perfect for walkers of all types, with intriguing trails and discoveries to be found. Not to mention, the pubs and restaurants you will find along the way which offer real ales and traditional English meals. Your stay with us will be peaceful as you take part in activities at your own leisure. If you are a lover of fishing, why not arrange fly fishing on the River Ure. The building presents you with unique accommodation. There are two rooms which are connected by a stone staircase and lovely outside balcony. The ground floor comprises of a kitchen and sitting and dining area with electric underfloor heating and log burning stove. There is a shower room and WC in an adjoining room with underfloor heating & heated towel rail. The first floor has a beautiful double bedroom with king size sleigh bed and night storage heater/fan heater where you will surely have a heavenly nights sleep.
The building has original features including domed ceiling and Georgian plaster work, open air balcony with stunning views. There is a log burning stove in the living area. There is a small fridge with ice compartment, electric cooker and microwave. Flat screen TV/DVD player in both living area and bedroom. Private wooded garden with panoramic views. Patio area.
