We are a non smoking guesthouse throughout for the comfort of all our guests. Visitors will love our location, situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the edge of the Yorkshire Moors National Park. Ampleforth is the perfect base from which to explore some of the most stunning scenery in the north of England. The historic City of York is only twenty miles to the south and Yorkshire coastal resorts such as Whitby and Scarborourgh are just a short drive away. The picturesque ancient market town of Helmsley with it's choice of tea rooms and bookshops is a short four mile drive away and the Cistercian abbeys of Byland and Rievaulx are also in close proximity.
