The Old Vicarage at Toftly View is a welcoming, 5 star gold award B&B located in stunning surroundings looking south towards Pickering, Malton and the Wolds. This beautifully appointed home sits behind the village church within the pretty, unspoilt village of Newton upon Rawcliffe, near Pickering, on the edge of the beautiful North Yorkshire Moors National Park. Stylish but informal Country House accommodation is offered, with numerous personal touches. We are just 4 miles north of Pickering. Whether you are looking for an active break, walking, cycling or just wanting to relax, the Old Vicarage is the perfect location. Enjoy glorious views and easy access to the moors, coast and the historic city of York. The Old Vicarage is a completely non-smoking establishment for the comfort of all. Children over 10 are welcome, unfortunately we are unable to take pets.

The interior is spacious and inviting. A guest sitting room affords panoramic views and a log fire, there is also an elegant dining room. There is a drying room with laundry facilities, ideal for walkers! Ample parking and secure bike storage is also provided. Our delicious breakfasts are prepared with care and attention using locally sourced seasonal ingredients wherever possible and range from the traditioinal hearty meal to a more varied menu. Special diets provided on request. Complimentary tea and homemade cake are available for our guests in the afternoon.Homemade soup and sandwiches can be provided for late arrivals. Rooms Description

All rooms are ensuite and have been extensively refurbished to offer the highest standards of comfort and luxury. Enjoy homemade buscuits from your hospitality tray. LCD TV's and DVD players are standard as are Egyptian cotton sheets, fluffy towels, beautifully designed bathrooms and handmade toiletries.

The Old Vicarage is conveniently placed for The North Yorkshire Moors Railway. Walkers will enjoy a stroll through the stunning surrounding Yorkshire countryside or an energetic hike across the North Yorkshire Moors. For cyclists there are pretty lanes to explore, and stunning views to enjoy. A short step across our paddock is the village tennis court, open to all. Dalby Forest is also nearby and offers many opportunities for both walkers and cyclists as do the many paths on the open Yorkshire Moors.
