On opening the property was graded 5 Stars by the ETC. All the amenities of contemporary living are included, and the house offers the highest standard of accommodation for up to six adults, across three floors. Assam House also benefits from a garden with decking, garden furniture and barbecue, a garage and off road parking.
Guests have access to a wealth of tourist and local travel information in the property to assist in exploring historic York. Families are welcome, and a cot and high chair are available on request. Bicycles are not provided but storage is possible in the garage. Please note that Assam House is a non smoking residence throughout, and pets are not allowed.

A living flame effect gas fire gives a warm cosy glow without the mess of logs and coal. The kitchen/dining room is designed for everything from family meals to elegant dinner parties. Here in this fully equipped kitchen you will find a dishwasher, fridge/freezer, twin oven and microwave. To the rear of the house is an attractive enclosed garden with an area of timber decking, patio and a pond. Garden furniture and a barbecue are provided for the warm summer evenings in season.
