Visit Websitefor more informationThe Moors Inn is a warm and friendly family run pub with a fine reputation for good, traditional English food. We are located in the quiet, idyllic village of Appleton-le-Moors in the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. The Inn is a grade II listed building, built in the 18th century and has been thoughtfully restored to reflect its past. The unspoilt village of Appleton-le-Moors is mentioned in the Doomsday book and offers a peaceful and picturesque base for your holiday, whether a short break or a longer stay. The village and the Moors Inn are ideally placed for exploring the North Yorkshire Moors and the Yorkshire Heritage Coast, as well as pretty local market towns such as historic Helmsley. For the more active, walks start from the door of the pub!
Many of the vegetables and salads used in the pub kitchen are grown by the owners in an allotment, and produce is sourced locally. Tables are available in the bar next to the open fire, or in the 2 cosy dining rooms. Please book in advance to guarantee your table. We have a wine list catering for all tastes, hand pulled real ales and over 50 different malt whiskeys. Guests can expect an extensive menu with traditional British dishes, cooked to order using fresh ingredients. The Moors Inn is listed in the good Pub Guide and Alistair Sawday's "Special Places to Stay". Well behaved dogs are welcome. Credit cards not accepted (cash or cheque only)

All our rooms are non smoking, and accommodation is in 2 rooms above the pub itself, or in 5 rooms at the back of the pub, which are converted from the old barns and stables. Many of the original features such as exposed beams and the characteristic wooden framed windows and sloping ceilings have been retained, adding charm and character, whilst modern comforts have been added. Rooms have tea and coffee making facilities and are all en-suite. Televisions, hairdryers and shaver points are available in all rooms. Rooms 1-6 have showers, and room 7 has a bath. Room 3 is a Twin room, whilst all other rooms are Doubles
We are non-smoking throughout.
