Two carefully renovated self-catering cottages set in the grounds of our Georgian Hall close to Pickering. Each cottage is set in its own secluded garden, providing you with complete privacy to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Whilst preparing Applestore Cottage and the Coach House for your holiday we have paid great attention to detail, from freshly baked scones on your arrival to delightfully soft bedlinen for your comfort. We feel we have provided a level of comfort and convenience fitting to our spacious holiday cottages, incorporating modern interior, fabrics and décor, which will provide you with a homely base to explore Ryedale. We are set back from the A170 and close to the countryside, the North York Moors, the NYMR Steam Railway and many other attractions.
5 STAR Applestore Cottage comprises a spacious sitting room with wood-burning stove, natural flagstone floor, oak features and access to a wet room with shower and washbasin and a Georgian toilet converted from the original earth closet to meet modern expectations. The 5 STAR Coach House was renovated in 2005/6 and comprises a ground floor sitting room, dining room, kitchen, cloakroom with toilet and basin, and a reception area with desk and wireless broadband Internet access. There is under floor heating throughout the ground level. From the dining room, French doors open out on to the garden terrace.
The 5 STAR Applestore has a country style kitchen with original quarry tiled floor, farm-house table and seating for six. This fully equipped kitchen enables you to prepare comprehensive meals or simply enjoy the cream tea on arrival! Upstairs there is a large twin bedroom with prominent oak beams and a sofa bed, enabling up to four people to sleep in this room. The double bedroom is in the old apple store and requires thought as you bend to enter the low door. At the far end of the room is an attractive bathroom with bath and hand shower, toilet and basin. In each bedroom you will find quality cotton sheets and contemporary textiles, large soft bath towels and specialised soap. In the 5 STAR Coach House The stairs lead up to a twin bedroom with en suite bathroom, bath, basin and toilet. Along the hall is the double bedroom with en suite power shower, wash basin and toilet. The cottage has it own access, drive and landscaped garden with secluded parking. A paddock joins onto the garden; you are welcome to share our mature garden at most times of the year. We encourage all manner of birdlife so you may be chorused by owls or bats, and on Monday evenings by bell-ringing practice at the local church fifty yards away.
We will meet you on arrival, show you to your cottage and introduce you to the waiting homemade cream tea. Enjoy your welcome grocery hamper to get you started; you will find homemade bread, butter, milk, eggs, homemade marmalade, local dry cured bacon and sausages. Put your feet up and relax with the complimentary bottle of wine. The Middleton Arms is our local non-smoking pub which provides delicious meals, and it is conveniently only a very short walk from the cottage. Next to it is the village Church with Saxon features and Celtic crosses.

Noelle’s Cottages are easy to find. If you're coming from Thirsk we are on the left hand side of the A170, 5.5 miles after the roundabout in Kirkbymoorside. We are in the centre of Middleton just after the pub, the church and the hedge in front of the Rectory. If you are coming from Pickering we are 1.4 miles from the roundabout in the town. Pickering is long and thin, you pass a pond and a field before coming into Middleton, and a garage on the left. Soon after you will see a Post Office sign, Noelle’s Cottages are situated in the grounds of Middleton Hall, next on the right through the stone gateposts.
