By Road: York is positioned midway between London and Edinburgh and is just 20 minutes from the M1/M62 motorway network enabling the city to be within comfortable travelling time of most regions of the UK. Directions from the A64: 1) From A46 take exit onto A1036, signposted to the race course. 2) Follow A1036, past Tesco and the race course, until you reach the inner ring road (2 ¼ miles). 3) At the inner ring road you will see Micklegate Bar (City Wall) in front of you. Turn right onto Nunnery Lane. 4) Follow Nunnery Lane until it opens into two lanes, now take the right hand lane. 5) At the junction ('The Swan' pub in front of you) cross the carriageway onto Clementhorpe (keeping pub to your right). 6) Take the 2nd turning left and you have reached postern close in Bishops Wharf. The Railway station is a 5 minute walk from the apartment.
