Property Information

Mount Skip Bed and Breakfast is situated in a beautiful rural position, at an altitude of 300m, on a hillside overlooking the Calder Valley, with spectacular views across the neighbouring moorland for over 30 miles. This historic accommodation is just one mile to the east of Hebden Bridge town centre and stands within the Green Belt and a Special Landscape Area. The original Mount Skip was built in 1718 as a drovers inn, serving the pack horse and mule drovers who took wool and cloth on the journey to and from the markets in Halifax. We're perfectly located for walkers, yet within easy reach of Hebden Bridge town centre which can be reached within a matter of minutes.

Located just a few minutes walk from Hebden Bridge town centre where there are plenty of attractions to keep guests entertained during their stay in this traditional North Yorkshire town. Guests can take in a film in the classic 1920's Picture House where music, live and children's events are also regularly performed. Or take in a play in the intimate environment of the Little Theatre with fully stocked bar and waterside patio. Take a trip down the Rochdale Canal in a horse drawn or a motor boat and gaze at the picturesque countryside you gently float down the canal. Guests can enjoy a quiet drink in the many pubs in the market town, or a quality meal served up in the restaurants.

You can enjoy spectacular views across neighbouring moorland from this Hebden Bridge B&B
