Nora Batty’s Cottage sleeps six guests comfortably in one large double bedroom and a spacious family bedroom. Carefully renovated to recreate the interior of Nora Batty’s Cottage as seen in the TV series (which ran from 1973 to 2010!), avid fans may well recognise many of the ornaments and furnishings around the house including lamps, a Welsh dresser, Nora’s old radio and numerous props which all featured in the show. Living areas include a large sitting room furnished in a classic period style, inclusive of modern comforts such as a colour tv, DVD and CD player, electric fire and ample sofa and arm chair seating. The well equipped kitchen/ dining room contains all essentials such as a microwave and the bathroom is fully fitted, inclusive of a stand-alone bath and separate shower cubicle.
Families are warmly welcomed, with both a cot and high chair provided on request. Groups, couples and friends sharing are all welcome. The cottage has a pretty private garden and yard area and plentiful off road parking is situated nearby. Space is available directly adjacent for guests to temporarily unload luggage. Non smoking throughout for your comfort, the cottage is centrally situated just a short walk from other famous sites and scenes from the series including Sid’s Café and the White Horse pub. Regular ‘Summer Wine’ bus tours run across the summer season from just outside Sid's café. Guests should note, as you’d expect, that entrance to the cottage is via steps (the famous Nora Batty Steps!) and living space is spread across three floors.
