Originally a 16th century Ferryman's inn, the Red Lion at Burnsall is open for accommodation and meals all year round. We offer superb food, fine wines and real ale, set in a cosy atmosphere of roaring log fires, beamed ceilings, creaky floors and a true Yorkshire welcome await you here at our family owned hotel. The main bar incorporates the original 16th Century structure of the Ferrymans Inn. Traditionally panelled and floored in Oak by local craftsmen - the bar is a popular meeting and eating place for villagers and guests alike. We serve a wide selection of cask conditioned real ales and fine wines to be enjoyed along with an extensive brasserie menu.

All bedrooms are individually designed and furnished with care, successfully combining ancient and modern. Gleaming bathrooms, Victorian brass beds, beamed ceilings, antique furniture and our Honeymoon Suites even have log fires. Most of the rooms also offer wonderful views to the river and the fells beyond.
