Trip Advisor recommendations - This B&B excelled our expectations. Lyndsey is a fabulous hostess, nothing was too much trouble and everything was very well thought out and provided for. We had spent 3 nights previously travelling through the UK & staying at B&Bs that provided no toiletries whatsoever, one was lucky to be given liquid soap! Here little bottles of unexpected luxuries graced the bathroom shelves and the towels were thick and fluffy! I could have spent two weeks here instead of the one night we did. It was of an equal standard with the classiest of hotel bedrooms and extremely spacious. The bed is supremely comfortable and the breakfast was delicious - freshly cooked and everything possible was provided. The view of the farm from the window was sublime, green grass, hills and blackfaced sheep. The decor is beautiful and the home is spotlessly clean. It is excellent value at 70 pounds. We paid that at several other B&Bs that were nowhere near the standard of Lyndseys. It is far and away the best B&B we have ever stayed in - I might add that I am extremely fussy. From the moment we set foot in this amazing house we knew we were in for a super stay. Lyndsey and Jason have excelled themselves in their warm welcome and beautifully decorated home. Lyndsey showed us to our lovely bedroom/sitting room...wow! what a treat..She obviously has an artistic flair for comfort...Crisp white linen, lots of cushions, soft lighting and furnishings in shades of coffee and cream ...Lyndsey's attention to detail, be it in the bathroom with lots of quality toiletries to use, the hospitality tray with a large assortment of teas, coffee, chocolate and shortbread biscuits, the sherry decanter on the windowsill , the flat screen television, radio/cd player with cds available, lots of magazines to read, the rabbit on the bed and chocs by the bedside, was beyond our expectations...a real home from home...but better!! The breakfast was also excellent and a good choice was always available....oops! I nearly forgot to mention the sumptuous flapjacks and tea on arrival!!! Nothing seemed too much trouble for Lyndsey and Jason and we thoroughly enjoyed our four nights stay and would recommend Church Gate Farm with the greatest confidence.
