Watermill Self Catering Holiday Cottages are two exquisitely renovated properties sleeping 4 and 2 guests. The cottages are situated in the pretty village of Crakehall in North Yorkshire near Bedale and the Yorkshire Dales. Adjacent to the properties is Grade II Listed Crakehall Watermill. Both cottages are ideally situated for exploring the Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors, just 3 miles from A1 and 15 minutes south of Scotch Corner. The historic grade II listed mill building adjacent to Bedale Beck dates from the 17th century and is an excellent example of a country corn mill. Pre-booked group tours are offered.

The two self catering cottages are situated in a peaceful riverside setting and are perfect as a walking or romantic retreat. Sleeping 2 and 4 guests, both are attractive and beautifully furnished with easy access to excellent walking and cycling in the countryside of the Yorkshire Dales, North York Moors, fine cities of York, Ripon and Durham and local market towns such as Bedale, Leyburn, Richmond and Masham. Watermill Cottage sleeps up to four guests and is a single storey stone-built cottage, refurbished in 2005. It stands beside the mill race and a path leads over a small bridge for a short walk along the Beck to the village. The interior consists of two bedrooms (one double and one twin), and an open plan fitted kitchen/dining room. One small well behaved dog is welcome, and the property benefits from a fenced riverside garden (toddlers beware!), garden furniture, BBQ, and ample parking is adjacent. Watermill Cottage is non smoking throughout. Watermill Croft Cottage is perfect as a romantic retreat, sleeping up to two guests. This delightful property is a stone built, pan-tiled single storey cottage converted in 2005 from former stables. Comfortably furnished throughout, Watermill Croft has French windows out onto the patio and garden, one double bedroom with 5ft bed, an open-plan sitting/dining room with gas 'wood burner effect' stove, a kitchen area with dishwasher, fridge with freezer box, electric oven, and microwave. The Shower room/WC has a heated towel rail and underfloor heating.
